HOW CAN A DESIGNER SAVE ME MONEY?
Not only can a good designer save you money, they will also save you endless hours of frustration and stress. How much did your finishes and furnishings you want to replace cost you? Did you love them? Did they add value to your home? Were they trending at the time and now totally dated? A designer can help you find the right items at the right prices that add value to your home and reflect you, not just what is trending. In guiding you to make informed choices, a designer will help you avoid costly mistakes. Informed and well thought decisions are also reflected in better design results.
I NEED HELP, BUT AM CONCERNED I WON'T LIKE THE END RESULT.
This is precisely why we have a client based design philosophy. Through a partnership with you, we specialize in gaining a complete understanding of your vision. To be unhappy with an end result indicates a failure in communication and/or the design process. We know when a client is unsure or "settling." In these situations, it is crucial to know the right questions to ask and clarify any concerns. It is okay to take a breather before moving forward.
WHAT IS EAST NINTH'S DESIGN STYLE?
We don't subscribe to any certain style. Our client's preferences, the architecture of the home, and budget will dictate the design direction. We do avoid overdone and "cookie cutter" styles. As such, the design process is a collaboration to find ways to bring out our client's personality in each space.
DO YOU WORK WITH SMALL BUDGETS?
A big part of what we do is help our clients set a suitable budget for their needs. There are several misconceptions in the marketplace today about design costs. We help educate you on the value of items and how to maximize whatever your budget is.
DO WE NEED TO USE YOUR CONTRACTOR OR ARCHITECT?
Not at all. We will work with your builder or tradespeople. You will not pay us for construction related labor, this is between you and your contractor. Acting as a liaison between you and the contractor, we are your advocate. Effective communication is essential to ensure your vision is interpreted and realized.
DO I HAVE TO MAKE PURCHASES THROUGH YOU?
No, you do not! You are welcome to make any purchases on your own. Sometimes making your own purchases can save you valuable time and money in the design process. It also allows you full control over any customer service or warranty related issues if they arise.
